An Unsolicited Customer Testimonial
To whom it may concern:
I am writing to you today in regards to a recent purchase I made through one of your vendors, Breakwater Marine. On April 26 when taking my daughter to the airport, we drove past your Richmond store location. We noticed the boat show that was currently set up in your parking lot. As we were in the process of actively searching to purchase a boat, this caught our attention. After dropping off my daughter, we returned to the Costco to take a look. We met the salesman Craig and he explained the benefits of the special Costco pricing on the boat and the extra package offered to Costco members. Even though we could have purchased the boat for cash we opted to take advantage of the low cost financing they offered. We signed the deal and put a $1,000 deposit on our Costco Amex Card. After that we went into your Richmond store and spent hundreds of dollars on accessories for the boat.
During the use of the boat I experienced several small problems such as improper readings from the tachometer and the speedometer. It was nice to find out that customer service handled these repairs over the phone saving us the cost of returning the boat back for repair. We have since gone back to Costco and purchased several other items to use with the boat. We were using the boat almost every day with the nice weather.
On the 33rd day of owing the boat, a serious issue occurred. I contacted Breakwater Marine to have the repair taken care of and they got the boat in right away. While waiting for the warranty repair to be completed, I was in urgent need of the boat fixed as I had scheduled the boat to be used for my daughter’s school trip. I met with Walter, the General Manager and expressed my desire to get the boat serviced as soon as possible. I am pleased to report Breakwater Marine has gone above and beyond to get my boat repaired and back to me in time for the school outing.
As Costco has a 100% satisfaction guaranty to its customers, I expected the same from its vendors, as they represent Costco. The honest truth is my experience with this company has exceeded this guaranty. I have been a valued Costco customer for almost 20 years and will continue to believe in the high standards that it has to offer and its valued partners.
